Hello and a warm welcome to Location North.  My name is Neil Mackay, and I’m a Scottish Location Scout & Manager.

Location North has evolved from my experience across the TV industry scouting and managing locations throughout Scotland.  My TV experience is backed by my knowledge of Scotland gained working in tourism across the entire country.  I truly know Scotland and have worked in every region from the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh & Lothians, Glasgow to the Highlands & Islands, Fife, Perthshire, Argyll, Sutherland, and beyond.

I have worked on many projects including films, commercials, dramas, stills shoots and music videos.

I have a library of locations throughout Scotland from many types of urban locations to rural locations.  If I don’t have exactly what you are looking for I can certainly find the location that will meet your needs and your budget.

I have a full driving licence and have lots of experience driving all sorts of vehicles up to 7.5t including 4x4s, shuttle buses, quads and motorbikes. I’m also fully up to date with all production health & safety regulations including managing Covid 19 risks on productions.
